A Biodesign pool is a resin-sand beach pool. It has the look of the East Shore of Lake Tahoe or a tropical beach: a sand entry, rock set right in the water, and a shape that fits the yard instead of a rectangle. We are the West Coast builder for Biodesign, and it is the pool we are most excited to build.

What's included

  • A beach entry and a freeform shape designed around your yard and your view
  • Rock set in the water, which only a liner-based pool can hold without cracking and leaking
  • A liner that flexes through freeze and thaw, so it does not need to be heated all winter
  • UV and ozone, so the chlorine stays as low as it can go
  • Spa options in the same finish, including the Iconia spa from Biodesign

Worth asking any builder you talk to

If you want rock in your pool, ask how it is built. Rock set in a traditional plaster pool cracks and leaks within a few winters of freeze and thaw. It needs a liner-based pool.
